Washington’s Residential Time Summary Report and Actual-Care Records

FL Divorce 243, Washington’s Residential Time Summary Report, is submitted with the final Parenting Plan only. It summarizes that plan’s residential schedule, limitations findings and dispute-resolution provisions. Use a separate report for each child with a different schedule. Keep records of actual care separately; they may help resolve a factual dispute but do not replace the plan information requested by this form.

Separate Records for Disputes About Actual Parenting Time

Calendars and Parenting-Time Logs

Keep one calendar of actual care for the period in dispute, with a source for each entry where available. Mark estimates and gaps. This working record serves a different purpose from the schedule summarized on FL Divorce 243.

Exchange and Travel Records

Save exchange messages, travel details and dated notes explaining deviations from the planned schedule. Record agreed swaps and missed time separately so the difference can be understood.

School, Daycare, and Routine Records

School pickup, daycare and other routine records may corroborate parts of the child’s week. Note what each record establishes; a pickup record alone may not show where the child spent the night.

Third-Party Care Notes

If another adult provided regular daily or overnight care, record the dates and the available source or firsthand witness. Keep that information separate from assumptions about which parent should receive legal credit for the time.

Explain differences between the plan and practice

Different records may properly show different figures

Different documents can serve different purposes: FL Divorce 243 summarizes the final plan, while logs can show actual practice. Explain discrepancies rather than forcing both records to use the same numbers.

Reconstruct gaps openly

Compare calendars with messages and exchange records when dates are missing. Identify estimates and conflicting accounts rather than filling every day with an unsupported answer.

Record informal swaps and exceptions

A repeated swap or changed overnight arrangement may affect the actual-care history. Preserve its dates and communications and ask counsel about significance; do not rewrite the final plan’s schedule on the form to match informal practice.

Resolve a dispute about actual parenting time

If calendars, messages and claimed care do not agree, share the relevant period and records. We can discuss reconstructing the actual-care chronology while keeping it distinct from the final-plan summary form.
